Dr. Guillermo Betancourt combines the heart of a small-town neighbor with the expertise of a globally trained clinician. With more than a decade of experience in general dentistry, he offers comprehensive care with advanced skills in endodontics, oral surgery, and sleep medicine. His philosophy is simple: every patient deserves personalized, high-quality care delivered with integrity, compassion, and a steady hand.

Dr. Betancourt first earned his Doctor in Stomatology degree from the Medical Science University of Matanzas, Cuba, in 2014. Soon after, he joined a medical mission deep in the Venezuelan Andes, bringing vital dental care to rural and indigenous communities with little to no access to healthcare. That experience shaped his lifelong commitment to serving those most in need.

After moving to the United States in 2016, he set his sights on further training and earned his second dental degree—Doctor of Dental Surgery—from UT Health San Antonio, graduating with Distinction in Dental Education in 2023. Today, in addition to leading Countryside Dental, he proudly serves as Dental Director for South Texas Rural Health Services Inc., where he continues his mission of improving oral health for underserved families across South Texas.

At Countryside Dental, Dr. Betancourt blends cutting-edge technology with genuine Hill Country hospitality. Whether restoring a smile or guiding a patient through preventive care, he strives to make every visit comfortable, clear, and uplifting.

When he’s not in the office, you’ll find Dr. Betancourt enjoying church on Sunday, spending time with his wife and daughters, or exploring the backroads and natural beauty of the Texas Hill Country. He’s also a lifelong learner, always sharpening his skills to bring the very best care home to his community.
